BreezoMeter Wins 2020 Red Herring Europe 100 Award for 2nd Year!

It’s official! BreezoMeter is a Red Herring Europe Top 100 Winner, for the second year in a row!

What does the Red Herring Award Represent?

Since 1996, technology industry executives, investors, and strategists have valued the Red Herring Top 100 lists as an instrument for discovering and advocating the most promising private ventures from around the world.

The Red Herring Top 100 award highlights the most exciting startups from Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Hundreds of companies from each region are reviewed in the rigorous 3-step process that looks at all aspects of the company.

Alex Vieux, Chairman of the Red Herring awards, had kind words for BreezoMeter:

Even during a global health crisis and economic downturn, there are companies that remain not only viable but likely to thrive because they answer so many of the right needs at the right time.

The healthcare industry is at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19. As more studies expose the link between air pollution and this awful disease, BreezoMeter answers the call for reliable and truly actionable air quality data-  information that helps people control the air they breathe. In support of their continued dedication to the health of billions worldwide, BreezoMeter has been selected as one of Europe’s Top 100 Red Herring Winners. This is the time to invest in companies like BreezoMeter – their value will grow as awareness of the awful personal cost of air pollution continues to mount.”

Ran Korber, Air quality specialist and CEO of BreezoMeter, said:

The last 12 months have shown us how vital the air we breathe is: Air pollution peaked to record highs in major cities, and for reasons linked to climate change, we saw awful wildfires rage through California and New South Wales in Australia, forcing hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate their homes. In the months following, millions around the world protested and demanded governments take action to stop climate change. Soon after, the global spread of a virus – which primarily impacts our lungs and ability to breathe – has forced many of us to stay at home.

We predict the combination of all of these events will result in a surge of awareness when it comes to air pollution exposure over the coming months and years”

This Award Matters a Lot Right Now

As the impact of COVID-19 continues to be felt around the world, many of us have never been so aware of the air we breathe. Each day more research emerges correlating the likelihood of COVID-19 mortality with prolonged air pollution exposure. Now studies suggest air pollution may also be a factor in transmission.

Many of us will probably be feeling an acute awareness of our personal health. We predict this trend will continue for some time to come. We also believe more and more focus will be placed on measures that help people control the air they breathe in the next months and years. We are delighted to be leading the way here: BreezoMeter’s mission has always been to improve the lives of billions worldwide by providing reliable and truly actionable air quality data.

We thank Red Herring for this amazing endorsement -it has come at a really important time.
